Precision CNC Turning of Stainless Steel Component for Butterfly Valve for Food Processing

At HLF, we have the right mix of talent and technology to machine valve components for critical fit applications. Working with the customer drawing, we custom manufactured the component highlighted here for a food processing application. Machined from 304 stainless steel, it provides for ease of machining while maintaining the corrosion resistant properties necessary for use in a food processing environment. The primary operations involved saw cutting, precision turning of both ID and OD, face grooving, and drilling holes.

When completed, the part measured 110mm in diameter x 25mm in length. Careful inspection of the bore diameter, outer diameter, groove, and lengths, ensured we satisfied the precise +/-0.05mm dimensional tolerance requirements. We packaged each of the 100 units in this order according to the customer's guidelines to protect them during shipping to ensure that they arrived safely at their destination.
